THE (SCIENTIFIC) DEATH OF JESUS

For the next 60 seconds, set aside whatever

You’re doing and take this opportunity! To know a little more about JESUS:
At the age of 33,

Jesus was condemned to death .
At the time

Crucifixion was the “worst” death. Only the worst

Criminals were condemned to be crucified. Yet it was

Even more dreadful for Jesus, unlike

Other criminals condemned to death by

Crucifixion Jesus was to be nailed to the

Cross by His hands and feet.
Each nail

Was 6 to 8 inches long.
The nails

Were driven into His wrist. Not

Into His palms as is commonly

Portrayed. There’s a tendon in the wrist that

Extends to the shoulder. The Roman guards knew

That when the nails were being hammered into the

Wrist that tendon would tear and

Break, forcing Jesus to use His back

Muscles to support himself so that He could

Breath.
Both of His feet

Were nailed together. Thus He was forced to

Support Himself on the single nail that

Impaled His feet to the cross. Jesus could

Not support himself with His legs because of the pain

So He was forced to alternate between arching His

Back then using his legs just to continue to

Breath. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the

Suffering, the courage.
Jesus endured this

Reality for over 3 hours.
Yes,

Over 3 hours! Can you imagine this kind of

Suffering? A few minutes before He died,

Jesus stopped bleeding. He was simply pouring water

From his wounds.
From common images

We see wounds to His hands and feet and even the spear wound

To His side… But do we realize His wounds

Were actually made in his body. A hammer

Driving large nails through the wrist, the feet overlapped

And an even large nail hammered through the arches, then a

Roman guard piercing His side with a spear. But

Before the nails and the spear Jesus was whipped and

Beaten. The whipping was so severe that it tore the

Flesh from His body. The beating so horrific that His

Face was torn and his beard ripped from His face. The

Crown of thorns cut deeply into His scalp. Most men

Would not have survived this torture.

He had no more blood

To bleed out, only water poured from His

Wounds.

The human adult body contains about 3.5 liters

(just less than a gallon) of blood.
Jesus poured all 3.5

Liters of his blood; He had three nails hammered into His

Members; a crown of thorns on His head and, beyond

That, a Roman soldier who stabbed a spear into His

Chest..
All these without

Mentioning the humiliation He suffered after carrying His own

Cross for almost 2 kilometers, while the crowd spat in his

Face and threw stones (the cross was almost 30 kg of weight,

Only for its higher part, where His hands were

Nailed).
Jesus had

To endure this experience, to open the

Gates of Heaven,

So that you can have free

Access to God.
So that your sins

Could be “washed” away. All of them, with no exception!

Don’t ignore this situation.
JESUS

CHRIST DIED FOR YOU!
He died for you!

When it comes to God, sometimes you feel ashamed to forward

To others because you are worried of what they may think

About you.
God

Has plans for you, show all your friends what He experienced

To save you. Now think about this! May God bless your

Life!
60

Seconds with God…
For the next 60

Seconds, set aside what you’re doing and take

This opportunity!
If you are not

Ashamed to do this, please, follow Jesus’ instructions.

He said (Matthew 10:32 & 33): “Everyone therefore

Who acknowledges me before others, I also will acknowledge

before My Father in heaven; but whosoever denies Me

before others, I will deny before my Father in heaven.”

Word for the day #5

Mister ‘A’ has a scale of preference.
He works very hard at his youthful age.

He makes realistic plans for his future.

Once he becomes the right man, he looks for the right lady to marry.
But, mister ‘B’ has no scale of preference.
He lives life only for the present.

He goes around running after ladies..

He is not yet the right man, but he is chasing the right lady.
_Mister ‘A’ lives his life with wisdom, mister ‘B’ lives his life without wisdom._
*You can decide the category you belong!*
Happy Sunday everyone

NEVER POSTPONE ANYTHING!

A sick person on hospital bed was visited by relatives. The patient was on an oxygen MACHINE and therefore couldn’t speak.
As they stood beside the bed, the patient took a pen and a piece of paper and wrote a note which he gave to one of the relatives who put it in his shirt pocket without reading and they continued with their conversation.
After a few minutes, the patient died. The relative later picked the note from his pocket to know what the dead man had written. And guess what! Sadly the note read.. “please move away from there, you have stepped on the oxygen pipe. I can’t breathe again , you are killing me”.
Lesson:
Do you postpone reading posts, ? Or do you ignore picking calls because you are already close to the caller. They might be helpful to you or to somebody… particularly at a most critical time.
Please pick your calls, read that note. NEVER POSTPONE ANYTHING. Don’t just read this message alone, kindly share with your friends.

*THE JOURNEY IS SO SHORT*

A young lady sat in  public transport: an old grumpy lady came and sat by her as she bumped into her with her numerous bags. The other neighbor got upset, asking the young lady why she did not protest and insist on her rights: she responded with a smile: “It is not necessary to be rude or argue over something so insignificant!’ I’ll alight at the next stop, our journey together is so short, replied the young lady”.

Here’s a response which deserves to be written in golden letters in our daily behaviour and everywhere:

*It is not necessary to argue over something so insignificant, our journey together is so short*
This touched my heart and set me thinking.
If everyone would realize that our passage down here has such a short duration and; to darken it with quarrels, futile arguments, unforgiveness, ungratefulness and bad attitudes would be a waste of time and energy.
Did someone break your heart? Be calm, the journey is so short!!
Did someone betray, bully, cheat or humiliate you? Be calm, forgive, the journey is so short!!
Whatever penalty anyone serves us, let’s remember that the journey together is so short…
Let us therefore be filled with gratitude and sweetness. Sweetness is a virtue never likened to bad character nor cowardice, but better likened to greatness.
Our journey together down here is really short and cannot be reversed…

No one knows the duration of his/her journey!!
Even Methuselah, the longest lived man got to his bus stop and alighted from bus
Two years ago, a well known Minister of God, Dr Myles Munroe and his wife Ruth Munroe, together with Pastor Richard Pinder, Pastors Lavard and Rudel Parks and their two children took off from Bahamas going for a crusade; none of them got to the crusade ground. They all got to their last bus stops and all alighted with a plane crash.
As we wake up to see each day light, millions of people: young, old, mid-age somehow get to their respective bus stops and must alight. We all pray to live long. And I pray for you reading this post; that you shall live long and fulfill God’s purpose for you on earth in Jesus name.

But REMEMBER, the journey is so short.
No one knows when they will get to their last bus stop where they will have to alight !! Meditate on this my brethren. The journey is so short.  50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, or 150 years all start with one day. You surely know how many years you have spent, but do you know how many more you have to spend? 1, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 99 year(s), months, weeks or days, hours, minutes or seconds. The journey is so short.
*Therefore, cherish and hold on to friends, family and the people around you! Be calm, be respectful, be kind, and be thankful. Love God; hold no offence.!! Be forgiving!!!

The journey is so short!
No matter what anyone has done to hurt you, always remember that: “it is so insignificant.” Be quick to forgive. Hold no grudge; the journey is so short.
Never forget that however long we pray to live for; the journey down here is so so short!!

Everyone will account.

🙏God bless us all.

SIMPLE WAYS TO SHOW COURTESY

1. In case you miss a call, drop a message as soon as possible if you’re unable to call back.
2. Pay back borrowed money as soon as possible no matter how little the amount is. Don’t assume that they don’t need it, and never make them ask you for it.
3. Turn the volume down when you’re watching video, playing music or playing a game on your phone in a public place or, better

yet, use headphones.
4. Don’t press your phone or use headphones when someone is having a conversation with you.

Unplug the headsets from your ears even if nothing is playing and give them your undivided attention.
5. When using someone else’s phone or computer, don’t go through their stuff without permission.
6. Always leave the last piece of meat for the person who bought it unless they insist they won’t eat it.
7. Don’t use loudspeaker of the phone to have a two person conversation unless you are unable to hold the phone.
8. When someone else cooks for you, offer to help clean the kitchen.
9. If you stay the night at someone’s house, make the bed or fold the blankets when you leave.
10. Don’t let your arguments escalate in public. Find some place else to continue arguing where others won’t feel uncomfortable or interested.
11. If you ask your friends for help with some house work, feed them as payment.
12. When someone buys you food or coffee, try to return the favour later or do same to someone else (if you can).
13. When you borrow someone’s car, fill up the tank as a great way of saying ‘thank you.’
14. Don’t pick up a call while you are engaged in conversation without excusing yourself.
15. Make sure you don’t forget to return that book you borrowed.
16. When someone gives you a gift, no matter how small it is or the way it was presented, even if it isn’t up to your expectation, just say Thank You.’
17. When you have someone older than you who is friendly and makes himself free with you, speak to them with respect.
18. Don’t feel too big to be corrected or reject good advice because you feel it’s your life… Life is a ring; the next blow can come anytime.
19. When you receive messages on social media, try and reply. Don’t feel too proud, maybe because you are a celebrity. Remember, no one knows tomorrow.

word for the day #3

1. It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return.

But what is more painful is to love someone and never

find the courage to let that person know how you feel.
2. A sad thing in life is when you meet someone who

means a lot to you, only to find out in the end that it was

never meant to be and you just have to let go.
3. The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a

porch swing with, never say a word, and then walk away

feeling like it was the best conversation you’ve ever had.
4. It’s true that we don’t know what we’ve got until we lose

it, but it’s also true that we don’t know what we’ve been

missing until it arrives.
5. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an

hour to like someone, and a day to love someone-but it

takes a lifetime to forget someone.
6. Don’t go for looks, they can deceive. Don’t go for wealth,

even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you

smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day

seem bright.
7. Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go,

be what you want to be. Because you have only one life and

one chance to do all the things you want to do.
8. Always put yourself in the other’s shoes. If you feel that it

hurts you, it probably hurts the person too.
9. A careless word may kindle strife. A cruel word may wreck

a life. A timely word may level stress. But a loving word may

heal and bless.
10. The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best

of everything they just make the most of everything that comes

along their way.
11. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, ends with

a tear. When you were born, you were crying and everyone

around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die,

you’re the one smiling and everyone around you is crying..

Try not to cry

She jumped up as soon as she saw the surgeon come out of the operating room. She said: ‘How is my little boy? Is he going to be all right? When can I see him?’

The surgeon said, ‘I’m sorry. We did all we could, but your boy didn’t make it.’

Sally said, ‘Why do little children get cancer? Doesn’t God care anymore? Where were you, God, when my son needed you?’

The surgeon asked, ‘Would you like some time alone with your son? One of the nurses will be out in a few minutes, before he’s transported to the university.’

Sally asked the nurse to stay with her while she said good bye to son. She ran her fingers lovingly through his thick red curly hair. ‘Would you like a lock of his hair?’ the nurse asked. Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut a lock of the boy’s hair, put it in a plastic bag and handed it to Sally.

The mother said, ‘It was Jimmy’s idea to donate his body to the University for Study. He said it might help somebody else. ‘I said no at first, but Jimmy said, ‘ Mom , I won’t be using it after I die. Maybe it will help some other little boy spend one more day with his Mom ‘ She went on, ‘My Jimmy had a heart of gold. Always thinking of someone else. Always wanting to help others if he could.’

Sally walked out of Children’s Mercy Hospital for the last time, after spending most of the last six months there. She put the bag with Jimmy’s belongings on the seat beside her in the car.

The drive home was difficult. It was even harder to enter the empty house. She carried Jimmy’s belongings, and the plastic bag with the lock of his hair to her son’s room.

She started placing the model cars and other personal things back in his room exactly where he had always kept them. She lay down across his bed and, hugging his pillow, cried herself to sleep.

It was around midnight when Sally awoke.. Lying beside her on the bed was a folded letter. The letter said:

‘Dear Mom ,

I know you’re going to miss me; but don’t think that I will ever forget you, or stop loving you, just ’cause I’m not around to say ‘I Love You’. I will always love you, Mom , even more with each day. Someday we will see each other again. Until then, if you want to adopt a little boy so you won’t be so lonely, that’s okay with me. He can have my room and old stuff to play with. But, if you decide to get a girl instead, she probably wouldn’t like the same things us boys do. You’ll have to buy her dolls and stuff girls like, you know.

Don’t be sad thinking about me. This really is a neat place. Grandma and Grandpa met me as soon as I got here and showed me around some, but it will take a long time to see everything. The angels are so cool. I love to watch them fly. And, you know what? Jesus doesn’t look like any of his pictures. Yet, when I saw Him, I knew it was Him. Jesus himself took me to see GOD! And guess what, Mom ? I got to sit on God’s knee and talk to Him, like I was somebody important. That’s when I told Him that I wanted to write you a letter, to tell you good bye and everything. But I already knew that wasn’t allowed. Well, you know what Mom ? God handed me some paper and His own personal pen to write you this letter I think Gabriel is the name of the angel who is going to drop this letter off to you. God said for me to give you the answer to one of the questions you asked Him ‘where was He when I needed him?’ ‘God said He was in the same place with me, as when His son Jesus was on the cross. He was right there, as He always is with all His children.

Oh, by the way, Mom , no one else can see what I’ve written except you. To everyone else this is just a blank piece of paper. Isn’t that cool? I have to give God His pen back now He needs it to write some more names in the Book of Life. Tonight I get to sit at the table with Jesus for supper. I’m sure the food will be great.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don’t hurt anymore the cancer is all gone.. I’m glad because I couldn’t stand that pain anymore and God couldn’t stand to see me hurt so much, either. That’s when He sent The Angel of Mercy to come get me. The Angel said I was a Special Delivery! How about that?

Signed with Love from God, Jesus & Me.
